Lisa Bornstein serves as Executive Director of the Multiracial Democracy Project at the George Washington University Law School. She brings decades of experience in civil rights law and public policy, having held senior roles including Vice President of Strategy & Policy at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Legal Director and Senior Legal Advisor at the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, and Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. Earlier in her career, Ms. Bornstein was a founding member of Teach For America and has maintained a strong focus on advancing equity through litigation strategy, legislative advocacy, and nonprofit leadership.
